KHAJUR ROLLS |BLACK DATE rolls -barfi |diwali recipes

Khajur rolls is a very healthy & nutritious recipe.i learnt this from my mom & mausi.
very simple & weasy to make.in fact this was the first recipe I had made in diwali after i had got married.
These rolls can last longer for a month. My hubby used to carry these rolls when he used to go on a project abroad. i remember I also had carried these rolls when i had been to a project in indonesia when I was working with tech mahindra.


 Khajur roll is a very healthy dish, which doesn't require too many ingredients, and is easy to make. Khajur (Dates) contain a lot of beneficial vitamins and minerals and are naturally very sweet, so no sugar is required to make this sweet dish. They are very good for diabetic people too.

You can try this sweet dish in diwali .


Ingredients

Black Dates Seedless (Khajur) - 1cup
Badam Chopped - 1 tsp
Pista Chopped - 1 tsp



Cashew Pieces - 1 tsp
2 tbsp ghee

 Method :
  1. Break up khajur coarsely
  2. Next smash  mix & convert the khajur into a dough.Add a little ghee to fingers so that khajur doesnt stick to ur fingers
  3. Dry roast half of almonds & cashews pieces.
  4. Grind the remaining dryfruits to a powder.
  5. Next make a ball of khajur dough. Make a hole in centre of ball with finger & add roasted almonds as stuffing .next cover it again to form a ball.you can give the shape of your choice.
  6. Dip the khajur rolls in dryfruit powder so that they are coated uniformly.
 Tips

U can dip the rolls in poppy seeds (khus-khus)
