This is my all time favourite recipe ..this is generally ordered as a side dish in restaurants.
But this can be easily made at home also.
Ingredients
- Plain Papad (urad papad/ jeera papad)( lijjat papad)
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- Red chilli powder
- Chat masala and salt to taste.
- Oil to fry
Method :
- Fry the Papad and allow excess oil to drain on a tissue paper. Alternatively you can even roast it on the stove directly.
- Just before serving, spread chopped tomato, onion and coriander leaves. Sprinkle salt and chat masala & red chilli powder.
Tip
- Serve Masala Papad immediately, else it will get soggy.
- Use green chillies chopped finely insteed of red chilli powder
- Substitute chat masala with black pepper (kali miri) powder
