GREEN MIRCHI CHA THECHA | KOLHAPURI STYLE HIRVI MIRCHI LASUN KHARDA

HIRWI MIRCHI KHARDA




Green Mirchi means green chilli & word thecha  literally means to  smash.mirchi thecha is very hot & spicy to taste .taste wise mirchi thecha is more spicy than mirchi kharda as spiciness in later is reduced by addition of tadka & lime juice

Mirchi Thecha and Mirchi Kharada are very common and popular side dish in Maharashtra because of it's spicy taste and crispy texture.

This goes very well with Jowar Bhakari or Roti /Rice bhakri .


Ingredients:
 
Mirchi Thecha 

1) 8 Green Chillies
2) 4 Cloves of Garlic
3) 1 tsp oil
4) Salt to taste
 


 
Mirchi Kharada :

10 Green Chillies
 5 Cloves of Garlic
 2 tsp Roasted Peanuts Powder (shengdana kut)
 1tspn lime juice
1tsp jeera seeds
pinch hing
1tsp rai
 2 tsp oil
Salt to taste


Method:


 
Mirchi Thecha:

1) Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add Green chillies and garlic. Stir continuously till they become soft and have brown spots on them.


 
2) Take it off the heat and grind chill with lasun by adding salt to taste.
3) Grind this mixture coarsely.
4) Mirchi Thecha is ready to serve!

Mirchi Kharda:

1) Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Add Green chillies and garlic. Stir continuously till they become soft and have brown spots on them.


 
2) Grind chilli & garlic coarsely in mixie
 
3) Next mix roasted peanut powder salt .
 
 4) Add oil in tadka pan & when oil heats add hing,rai,jeera.next pour the tadka on mirchi kharda.


 
5) Once cool ,squeeze lemon juice in mirchi kharda mix & serve.
