Pudina chutney, or mint chutney, is a common condiment for Indian dishes
Mint chutney is a variety of chutney. Mint, a herb, is called 'Pudina' in Indian language.
Apart from adding the lovely green color to the chutney, the Mint in it makes you feel fresh and helps digestion.

Todays chutney is made from pudina or mint leaves which is a no onion and no garlic recipe.
this chutney is a nice accompaniment with veg sandwich, veg toast sandwich, khasta kachori, dhokla, samosa,, peas kachori and even goes well with chaat items like bhel puri, ragda patties, sev puri, dahi sev batata puri.
by the way if you do not have time to make coconut chutney for idli, dosa or medu vada, then you can make this chutney instead and it goes well with south indian snacks too.
Make green chutneys and keep them in the fridge.Use them when you want to apply them to your toasts or breads or have them as a dip with snacks or bhajia
Ingredients
Fresh mint leaves - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2 or more according to taste
Fresh Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon or black salt as needed
Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon
Lime juice - 2 teaspoon
cumin (jeera) powder - 1/2 tsp
Method
1.Mix all the ingredients and grind together to paste. Add a little water if needed.
2.check the seasoning and add more salt or lemon juice if required.
3. store the mint chutney in a covered bowl or container in the refrigerator
