Confused ????????? ever imagined kabab & that too on an upwas day .Yes u are right this delicious kababs made from fasting ingredients will surely chnage your mood.
Pls note I have made these kabab using a combination of banana ,sweet potato & normal potato But you can prepare them using only raw bananas or only sweet potato .If using sweet potato increase the amount of chilli used .
Ingredients
2 raw banana boiled & peeled ( 1 cup)
1/2 cup boiled sweet potato ( ratala /shakarkand)
1/2 cup boiled potato /aloo/batata
2 tsp ginger green chilli coarse paste
1/2 cup coriander leaves (kothmir/dhania patta)
3/4 cup groundnut powder /shengdana koot
2 tsp rajgira flour
2 tsp sabudana flour ( sago ata )
sugar pinch
1 tsp jeera(cumin )
1 tsp jeera (cumin ) powder
1 tsp soaked sabudana/ tapioca
Oil for frying
For cover
1/2 cup sabudana flour ( sago ata )
Method:
1.Mix boiled & smashed raw banana ,sweet potato & normal potato in a bowl .Add all above ingredients & mix nicely to form a dough.
2.Keep aside covered for 10 -15 minutes.
3.Now shape in form of kabab as shown in picture below.Or you can even prepare seekh kabab by pressing mixture on a ravi (wooden dal masher) & shaping it to form a seekh kabab & then slowly remove kabab & place in a dish as shown in 2nd image.

4.Now roll the kabab in sago flour ,tap to remove excess sago flour & deep fry in oil till golden brown.
5.Drain on a tissue paper.
6. Serve hot with upwas shengdana chutney or upwas dahi chutney.

Tip
1. People who dont eat ginger & kothmir on fasting days can skip ginger & coriander leaves in above recipe
