Paneer Korma |Mixed vegetable panir makhani kurma

Korma (sometimes spelled kormaa, qorma, khorma, or kurma) is a dish originating in South Asia or Central Asia which can be made with yogurt, cream, nut and seed pastes or coconut milk; it is usually considered a type of curry.


Paneer korma is a vegetarian korma made with vegetables and paneer (an Indian cheese)
Paneer cubes cooked in velvety smooth gravy and has a goodness of all Indian spices that is combined with awesome flavors from bell peppers and garnished with cream! you will  love the color, texture and heavenly taste of this Korma!




Ingredients:

 1 Big Onion grated
 5 cashew pieces
 2 tsp khus khus (poppy seeds) soaked in  2 tsp water
 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
 1 tsp Coriander powder
 1 tsp Cumin powder
 2 Tomatoes pureed
 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
 1/4 cup  Green Pepper (simla mirchi /dhobli mirchi)
 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
 1/4 cup Cream / dahi (yoghurt)
 1 cup Paneer
 1 tsp Sugar
 1/4 cup Green Peas
 1/4 cup corn
 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek (Methi) leaves / kasuri methi
4 tsp Oil /ghee

 

Method:

1) Heat up oil in a pan, add onion and saute till it gets light golden color.grind onion to paste along with poopy
2) Fry paneer till golden brown in oil.Add ghee ,onion paste , ginger garlic paste, mix and cook for minute till raw smell from ginger garlic goes away.




3) Add coriander powder, cumin powder, mix and cook for 2 mts.
4) Add  tomato puree, red chilli powder, mix and cook till oil separates from the spices.
5) Add water and adjust the gravy as per how much or thin you want, then add salt to taste.

6) Add green bell peppers, mix, cover and cook for 5 mts.
7) Add paneer, green peas,corn mix, cover and cook for 5 mts.


8) Add garam masala, sugar, cream, stir and crushed kasuri methi leaves.


9) serve hot with paratha, naan ,tanduri roti  rice!



Tips:


1) You can skip vegetables & add only paneer  or choose veggies as per  your taste.
