ALOO UPWAS KOFTA CURRY | NAVRATRI VRAT RECIPE


Ever imagined kofta curry & that too on a fasting day.Yes you can prepare these delicious kofta curry with the ingredients used for fasting & impress your family members.A must try recipe.
Here I have made koftas using batata (potato- alu) ,but you can even use sweet potato / suran instead of aloo for making koftas .








Ingredients:

Koftas

2-3 boiled mashed potato
2 tspn green chilli coarse paste
2-3 tsp sabudana (tapioca) flour /singhada (buck wheat ) flour / rajgira (amaranth )flour( ata)
Oil for frying
Salt as per taste


Gravy

2-3 tsp peanut powder (shengdana koot)
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1 -2 tsp ghee
1/2 cup dahi (yoghurt)
1 tsp mirchi paste
sugar as per taste
4-5 curry leaves ( optional - as some people dont eat kadi pata during fast)
water as required
Salt as per taste



Method :

Koftas


1. Mix all ingredients  for kofta above well & size them into small round gulabjam size balls.

2.Roll balls in sabudana /singhada / rajgira flour so that they get coated well & tap off excess flour.



3. Heat oil in a pan & deep fry balls till golden brown & keep aside.








Kofta Curry

1. Mix peanut powder with dahi  & stir well with a spoon.



2.Heat ghee in a pan ,next add jeera ,once jeera crackles add curry leaves & green chilli paste & saute well .





3.Next add peanut powder  dahi paste & mix well.




4. Now add water as per consistency you want ,add sugar salt & give the curry a nice boil.



5.Switch off the gas & add koftas in the curry just before serving.

6. Serve the kofta curry with rajgira poori / rajgira wada / upwas bhajani wade.
