Oregano Chilli Potato Recipe| Spiced potato wedges



I tried this interesting and easy starter made with my favourite vegetable potato from maayeka.com.
I made some minor additions to the original recipe.

In fact I have tried many recipes from Maayeka.com and all of them have turned tasty.









In fact I love potatoes in any form.

Todays recipe is a delicious starter made from par boiled potato wedges,stir fried and seasoned with oregano ,chilli flakes.

Generally, Oregano is associated with "THE PIZZA". So one can easily learn that, thi herb originated from Italy. It is called Sathra or Mirzanjosh in hindi


You can even serve this as a side dish with dal and rice ....

so sharing the simple recipes ,hope you will try and like it.

Ingredients
medium Potatoes / Aloo
tbsp olive oil /Cooking Oil
1 tsp lemon juice/vinegar
1.5 tsp Oregano crushed
tsp Chili flakes /Kuti hui laal mirch
salt to taste
pinch Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder
garnish – chopped coriander/parsley

Method
  1. wash potatoes thoroughly .Boil potatoes in salted water till they are just done (take care not to over cook ,they should be al dente).You can microwave potatoes for 4-5 inutes also.
  2. Allow to cool down completely.
  3. cut into medium thick slices /wedges.No need to peel them (I did peel the cover butyou can use them with skin also)
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. Add turmeric and the potato slices and cook on medium flame for about 1.5 minute.
  6. Turn the side and cook again for about 2 minutes or till they get cooked completely and become little golden in colour.
  7. Now add salt,chili flakes and oregano, and mix gently.
  8. Stir fry for few seconds and then serve hot.lastly add emon juice/vinegar a.garnish with parsley/coriander leaves
