Baby Corn 65 | crispy corn fingers |Golden Fried Baby Corn


I am a fan of various corn dishes ,mainly due to its high nutritive value & secondly due to its taste .You will find a variety of corn dishes on my blog like

Coming to today recipe is an unusual starter with baby corn named baby corn 65 .
It is a perfect starter and vanishes within seconds.


Finger food is always a hit with kids and this is surely a yummy one :) 







 

Ingredients:

Baby corn-10-15 nos

marination

Ginger garlic  paste-2 tsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp
soya sauce - 1 tsp
schezwan sauce - 1 tsp (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
pepper powder - 1 tsp

Batter
Corn flour-2 tbsp
maida (all purpose flour) - 2 tbsp
Chilli powder-1 tsp
pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt-to taste

Oil for frying

method:
1.wash baby corn & wipe it with towel .If your baby corn is  big, then slit it in the middle into halves else you can use it whole or else ytou can cut it into 2 inch pieces. Set aside.



 

2. Marinate it with ingredients mentioned under marination & keep for 15-20 minutes
 

3.In a bowl add all ingredients under mentioned above under batter. Add little water to make a running paste like shown below.(it should be like pakoda batter)
 


 

4.Dip each baby corn in the batter and deep fry in the hot oil in batches till golden brown.


 

5.Drain it on a tissue paper to remove the extra oil.

6.Garnish with spring onion greens & onion rings .

7.Serve hot with sauce  or chili sauce

 


Tips:
 
1You can cut baby corn into round slices too.
2.Adjust spice level according to your tastes
