Chana dal pakoda (pakora)|crispy crunchy chana dal bhajia bhajji



Vow name bhajias and my mouth starts watering .


 

I have been a fan of these bhajias since childhood .

I have posted a variety of bhajias or pakora or pakoda since I make them frequently like

BATATA BHAJJI

KANDA BHAJJI

Ingredients :-
 
 2 cups Chana dal (Soaked for 1 hr)
 1 medium Chopped Onion
 6-7 Garlic cloves
 1 inch Ginger chopped
 3-4 Green Chillies      
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp dhania/dhane (coriander seeds) + 1 tbsp badishep (fennel) seeds - crush coarsely in mixer                                                                    
 1 tsp jeera -cumin seeds
 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
 1 tsp sugar
 Few chopped Coriander leaves
 Salt as per taste
 

 


Method :-

1.Soak chana dal for one hour and drain water completely.grind badishep & dhane  (coriander seeds) coarsely in mixer



 



2. Grind chana dal along with ginger pieces, garlic cloves, green chillies.{Don't make very fine paste you should have few pieces of chana dal in batter}. Transfer this mixture into a bowl. 


 

3.Add chopped coriander leaves, chopped onion, turmeric powder, cumin seeds,red chilli powder,sugar salt and mix with the paste.



 4.Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai. Wait for oil to get hot. add 1 tbsp of hot oil in batter & mix well
 

5.with help of spoon drop batter in hot oil .Deep fry the pakodas from both side till golden brown.





6.Remove from oil and soak in a tissue paper.




7 Serve hot chana dal pakoras with mint chutney or tomato sauce
