Gobhi ka paratha |Stuffed cauliflower (gobi) parathe |Easy stuffed paratha recipes



Gobi Ka Paratha is a mouthwatering Punjabi cuisine, it is stuffed with flavored cauliflower and spices. .Gobhi is also called Phool Gobhi or Cauliflower.These hot, crispy Paranthas are preffered mostly with Butter, Chutney, or Pickle or curd

I am sure that the name of Gobi Paratha will let your mouth watering. Gobi paratha is a Punjabi cuisine and famous in all parts of the world.You can have this in breakfast or brunch with just plain yogurt and pickle on side








For  Dough
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tsp oil
 salt to taste

For  Stuffing2 cups grated cauliflower
 salt to taste
1 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
2 chopped green chillies
1 chopped onions
1 tbsp ginger (grated)
amchoor powder /chat masala 1 tsp
1/2 tsp ajwain (owa)

 


Method:

For stufing

 
1. keep gobhi pieces immersed in salty water for 10 minutes this will remove bugs in  it. next wash the cauliflower ,drain on a towel so that water is absorbed 


 

2.cut Gobhi (Cauliflower) into big pieces and grate them with a grater. You can also use a food processor to get a finely chopped cauliflower.But i prefer to chop them finely using anjali chop and chop.
 

3.Sprinkle the chopped cauliflower with salt and mix it properly. Set aside for 10 minutes.
3. Take the cauliflower and squeeze it to remove the water off. keep it on a tissue paper to absorb extra water if any.
4. In this squeezed cauliflower, add other ingredients mentioned above under "for stuffing"
5. Mix all these well to prepare the filling mixture for gobi ka paratha. 




For the dough
 
1.Combine the whole wheat flour, salt and oil in a bowl and using enough water knead a soft dough.
2.Divide the dough in to 5 equal portions and keep aside.


 

Making paratha

1Knead the dough again for a minute and make equal lemon sized balls.


2.Roll this dough ball in flour and roll them using a rolling pin into thick poories of 4 inch in diameter.







3.Place about 1 tbsp of filling in the centre. Cover and seal the ends and roll again, dusting flour if necessary, into ½ cm thick roties using rolling pin.




 

4Mean while, heat a griddle tava at high flame & once heated change heat to medium high

5.Dust off the excess flour and place Stuffed Paratha on tava and cook on both the sides till its cooked and brown spots start to appear on top.once both sides are browned Apply little ghee/oil on one side ,next flip & apply ghee on second side.


 

6.Serve hot Cauliflower/Gobi Parathas immediately with plain yogurt ,mint chutney& pickle of your choice and enjoy.
