PANEER CHAT RECIPE | Paneer sev poori chaat

Paneer chat is a twist from normal shev puri.....
I tried this version yesterday & it turned out to be simply delicious..I had lots of paneer in the freezer &  was wondering what to be prepared. as I was tired of eating matar paneer & palak paneer....So thought of preparing chat out of paneer



INGREDIENTS:

  • Paneer (COTTAGE CHEESE) 200 gms


  • 1/2 cup cornstarch


  • 1 cup dahi (yogurt)(optional)


  • 1 cup  Boiled Potatoes, chopped


  • 1 Onion finely chopped


  • 1  Tomato finely chopped (optional)


  • 2 Tablespoon Raw Mango, finely chopped (optional)


  • 3 Tablespoon Garlic Chutney


  • 3 Tablespoon imli khajur chutney


  • 3 Tablespoon Green Chili Chutney


  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice


  • Salt to Taste


  • 1 Teaspoon Chaat Masala


  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder


  • 1 Cup Sev


  • 2 Tablespoon Cliantro (Coriander Leaves), chopped


  • Method:
    1. Cut paneer into 2 inch thin slices.
    2. Dip paneer slices in cornstarch & deepfry in oil til golden brown.Drain on tissue paper .These fried paneer slices will be the base of our chaat (i.e they will act as puris in a sev puri)
    3. Arrange thefried paneer slices in a serving platter or individual plate.
    4. Top each paneer slice with a little potato, onion, tomato (optional) and raw mango (optional).
    5. Top with 1 tsp dahi.
    6. Add 1/2 teaspoon of chutney on each puri- garlic chutney, imli khajur chutney and green chili chutney.
    7. Sprinkle lemon juice and salt on top.
    8. Garnish each puri with sev and cliantro.
    9. Sprinkle red chili powder and chaat masala.
    10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
