MINT LEMON SHERBET -PUDINA LIMBUCHA SARBAT -MINT LEMON COOLER-DRINK

Scorching heat of the sun is rising day by day as summer is approaching.I tried this cooler yesterday evening.

Summary: Go green, the cool and fresh Mint Lemon juice is just right for the day
Fragance and colour of Fresh Mint is so refreshing that it immediately gets you back into action. Added with the goodness of Lemon, this combination is just right for a long day at work.




Ingredients:
1 Lemon
10-15 Mint Leaves
3-4 Ice Cubes
3 tablespoon Sugar or honey
1/2 inch ginger

Method
1.Cut lemon into half and remove the seeds
2.Squeeze the lemons and extract the lemon juice and keep it aside
3. Add the Mint leaves and little water to the blender and strain  with help of sieve (galna)
4. Mix extracted fresh mint juice  with lime juice
5.For sugar syrup, in a sauce pan add half cup water and sugar and bring to boil. Cool and keep it in refrigerator to chill
6.Now in a pitcher add sugar syrup or Honey, Mint juice, Lemon juice and water and mix well, mixing can be done manually for small quality or by a blender for larger quantity. Grate the ginger on a grater & mix it with juice.keep this mixture in  refrigerator.
7.While serving strain the juice to remove  grated ginger .Add crushed ice cubes in a glass and then add  strained juice from the pitcher
8.Garnished with fresh mint or lemon slice and serve chilled .


Tip:
1. Adjust amount of sugar,mint& lemon as per your choice.
2. Add black salt /pepper  powder to above juice.

Health benefits of mint :
  •     An infusion of the leaves is used in doses of 1-2 tsp thrice a day in condition of indigestion and tastelessness. Ayurvedic physicians recommend mint tablets for stomach pains caused by indigestion.
  •     Women suffering from morning sickness can add lime juice, ginger juice and honey to the mint decoction and have it twice a day for getting relief.
  •     Mint leaves infusion is also helpful in stimulating menstruation in those suffering from  dysmenorrhea. Note: Papaya and aloe gel are also effective in such cases.
  •     The mint leaves juice is also beneficial to those suffering from hyperacidity.
  •     Prepare a decoction of mint leaves. Add black salt to it. Drink this juice to relieve   yourself from any worm infestation in the stomach.
  •     Chewing mint can prevent hiccups.
  •     Mint is also found to alleviate migraine pains.
  •     The juice can be applied externally on ulcerated skin to heal it.
